Can a tax return be amended after a letter from the IRS said that it was seized due to student loans?
from student loans. I consolidated my student loans from Sallie Mae to ACS, I am still in school but they garnished my fathers refund! why is that, i shouldn’t pay if I am still in school. the agreement that I had with Sallie Mae is 6 months after I graduated in 2010, I have student loans under my name and everything is fine. can my father amend it? Can this be fought, before it was consolidated, I had it with Sallie Mae for 2 yrs and everything was fine. no repayment and everything was great. Now that we were deceived by ACS claiming that it is a lower interest rate..shouldn’t the term be the same?
Amending a tax return and offsetting any refund are not related.

ohhh my dear let this be a lesson as boring as it might be never listen to some one selling you something read read read and make sure you understand what you read if you do not do not sign and ask for clarification and if they promise you verbally then have them put it in your contract if they wont put it in the contract then walk away… your dad if he wants to put more time and effort into it could see a lawyer who does this kinda tax cases good luck and if nothing else learn from this its ok to make mistakes but, not to learn from them is unacceptable.
