Who should I consolidate my Private Student Loans with?

I have some Undergraduate Student loans with AES and their rates keep going up and they are not great with customer service. I am wondering what is a good company to consolidate my private student loans with. I want good terms (as in deferment in school. etc.) Please help who has gone through this process.
Thanks in advance =)

I’ve gone through this and Sallie Mae has been great with me. I’ve been using them since I consolidated my loans in 2005. Check out their website. salliemae.com

Ok, I am trying to consolidate my Student Loans through AES!?

Ok, I am trying to consolidate my Student Loans through AES! The problem is that I have a POST OFFICE BOX because I will NOT recieve mail at my PHYSICAL ADDRESS because my silly sister-in-law happens to have the SAME FIRST NAME as me & when she married my brother, now the SAME LAST NAME.
I told the AES people I will NOT receive the forms to consolidate if they send to PHYSICAL ADDRESS. So now what do I do???

Have them send it somewhere else - to you 'c/o somebody else' and give the other address.

If I declare bankruptcy, will I still qualify for the FEDERAL student loans from AES?

Yes,well it depends on your financial need as well. Federal loans do not require a credit check.

Also bankruptcy does not affect student loans. For instance, if you have to file again you will still have to pay back your student loans.

Anybody ever use AES for student loans?

I just received my award letter on Monday, sent it back to the school on Tuesday. I applied for the federal stafford loans using AES on Thursday night. I signed the MPN and completed the application. What is the next process? My school starts on Monday the 18th. how long does it take for the school to send my eligibility amount to AES. AES told me they need that information to certify the loans. Once loans are certified, how long would it take for the school to receive my money? This is my first time doing this. I would appreciate any help.

AES will suck you out dry with their interest . I had to use them during my days in college and I'm now paying the remainder of my balance to them. The best advice is try grants and scholarships.
